Empty Orchestra

“Empty Orchestra” is the meaning of the word “karaoke”. Our first ever karaoke party was a kick – and yes, photos exist!

So karaoke parties aren’t for everyone – but if you don’t give a care about what anyone thinks, it is the PERFECT thing to do! Some friends got together last night and we laughed ’til we cried at renditions of song hits from Dolly Parton to Elvis to The Village People.

And let me say this – it is the perfect thing to do to embarrass your children! So adults, listen up. Put a hat on your head, wrap your neck with a feather boa and attempt to belt out some Aretha Franklin, while doing some really bad dance moves. That’ll keep your kids on the straight and narrow!

The group rendition of Y-M-C-A (a great song for those of us who attend the UC) was hilarious. I’ve got a full set of photos on my Facebook, if you’re interested.

Thanks Kevin and Vicky – it was a real hoot and the PERFECT ending to a busy week!

Well – your daughter was a chicken and didnt show her singing talents:)

We had a great time and I still think the judges made a huge mistake by not choosing Mathew and his partner as the winners!!!!

I’m with Kevin on this one. I think the judges were biased…

Had a great time. Thanks for coming and being our official photographer. We are already planning our next event but hush is the word because it is a wait and see kinda event but you better believe it’s gonna be gooooood. PARTY!

Hey to all those who like to entertain. Don’t forget to invite some of those unchurched friends and neighbors you know when you are using your hosting skills. It is a great way to reach out and show God’s love and allows them to see that we Believers can let our hair down and have a good time. I called this “silent witnessing”.

PS Sonny and Cher were the best!
