Praise from Denise & and Steve Thomas

I know I’m on “fall break” from blogging – but I HAD to share this latest entry by our dear friend Denise Thomas on an awesome praise regarding Steve’s lastest tests:

From Denise Thomas:

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Compassion and the God of all comforts who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

The news we receive from Drs. Flinn and Couriel is good. Steve’s bloodwork has come back with positive results and he will not have to have any more chemo during this stay in the hospital. We are now in the “building up” process which will prepare us to be able to go home. Once Steve’s blood levels reach a healthy, safe level, he will be able to go home for a few weeks before he returns for his maintenance treatments.

I can honestly say, that while we are very thankful for this wonderful hospital and the care and the beautiful facility with the state of the art technology, (Can you tell that I am VERY proud of the HCA family to which I belong???); it will be more than wonderful to finally get to pile once again into our own beds with our own pillows and OUR DOGS!!!

I have tacked a verse up on the board in our room which we have disected every day. It has come to mean much more each day. “…for I AM the LORD, who heals you.” Exodus 15:26
First of all “I AM” says it all. HE IS! and then “the LORD” is just repeating that HE is I AM. The “who heals you” part only happens because HE IS I AM. We look at that verse over and over and marvel at what those eight words really say. God is truly amazing!”
