Thanks Bill and Karen

Bill is my buddy.   Bill is our Connect Group leader.  I’ve watched him work very hard behind the scenes for what we are about to do as a group.

I am simply taking this opportunity to say THANK YOU BILL AND KAREN for your dedication to leading our connect group.   Let me begin by saying “we love coming to your house”.  It’s warm and friendly – very welcoming.  Everyone is family there.

I am so encouraged about Bill and Karen’s dedication to sharing and caring – and leading all of us to do the same.  It is SO not about us – but about reaching out – teaching – doing whatever it takes to get us equipped so that we can do better at reaching out to those around us.

But it is about also reaching out to those in our group family when we hurt.

We begin a new study tomorrow night.  We are getting back to the basics.  And I can’t wait.  It will be a great foundation for getting to know Jesus even better!

This type of dedication to people is popping up all over the UC.  I have heard many say “isn’t it great when the church is the church?”  It is so very true.   G’nite for now – I’ve got a busy night ahead.

  1. Bill and Karen are a tremendous asset to the people of the UC! They are very loving, humble, and hard working servants. A great example for me to follow.

One more update. Connect Group time at Bill and Karen’s last night was off the charts. First of all, the house was packed out. And folks just kept coming in! One of our members had fallen asleep at her house. I sent a text message to her and she popped right up and came, too! We just kept pulling out chairs to bring around our circle. The prayer time was amazing. The testimonies around the circle blessed Joe and me SO much. Praise God, our Father, for His incredible Hand on our group!
