Huge Day at the UC

Sometimes I just don’t think we dream big enough.   That was somewhat of an LOL – ’cause most who know us KNOW that we dream way bigger than we are.  Always…

Great day: My girls are home

Posted: August 31, 2008 in Uncategorized

Nothing beats those times when BOTH of my girls are here and we have a full-out girls day.  That was the case today.  No need to go on and on about it here – especially since it is midnight and I’ve got to pop right up in a few hours for a busy day at the UC.

But today included some great shopping, a drive in Steph’s new convertible and a quick family dinner with lots of laughs before church set-up tonight.

Steph is headed back home tomorrow – she’s got plans with her hubby and I sure understand her need to return.  Chels will be here until Monday – she and her sweet boyfriend will be joining us at church.

That reminds me – I gotta get some sleep.  We have a big “vision day” tomorrow – looking forward to God bringing it!  Woohoo!

Let the games begin

Sen. John McCain has just announced his choice: Alaska governor Sarah Palin will be his Republican vice-presidential running mate.

What does this do to the race?

Oh so very interesting

Heard of Woot?  Check it out.  One day. One deal.  And no, this has nothing to do with me being a pastor’s wife.  It’s simply cool stuff, cheap. I like to shop.

Let me know what you think!

Just us

Well, here we are.  Just us.  Joe and me.

New to the blog roll

Okay, I couldn’t help it.  You’ll see I’ve added a short little video clip from Beth Moore on my blogroll.

Beth’s brand new bible study called Esther:  It’s Tough Being a Woman releases in November.  I can’t help but give it a shout out!

This one could be the best yet.   And yes, ladies, we plan on diving into this one at UpRising Church sometime after the first of the year.   So, hang on!

It’s the little things

I love my friend Faith.  She just rocks my world.  Not only a dear child of God, but she is a wonderful leader and role model at the office.

We lunch together often – a great “getaway” partner.   Our conversations are all over the map, mostly about our kids and our crazy little lives…. well, here’s what happened yesterday.
