Here it is, a little musical recap to this past weekend.  Have I mentioned lately how much I love the work called LifeWay Women?

ENJOY!  And thanks Rich for the beautiful pictures, as always!

Going Beyond in Detroit

Join us this weekend for Going Beyond with Priscilla Shirer!  Anthony Evans (Priscilla’s brother) will lead the dynamic praise team. Gracious, I’m getting excited.  If you’re from the Nashville area and attended Kairos on Tuesday nights at Brentwood Baptist, then you know exactly who Anthony is!

See you Friday and Saturday in Troy (Detroit) for a life-changing event.  And it’s not too late to register!

Easter Hat. Not.

No, I didn't really wear it.

No, I really didn't wear it to church.

Just for fun, I tried on an Easter hat or two during a shopping trip with my youngest daughter.

I didn’t make a purchase, but this was GREAT fun in the store.  Pretty sure I was close to being asked to leave.

What do you think?

But for real, here’s a new favorite photo of Joe and me.   Chelsea took this after Easter morning services.

It had been a long week.  I watched as my man poured his heart out preparing for the two Sunday services – and right in the middle of it all, he was called to the Fox 17 anchor desk to do both the Thursday and Friday night weathercasts.   That’s 1-10:30pm on both those days – when I knew he probably needed to be working on church things.  Truthfully, it was really cool to see him back on the tube, but I missed him at home at the same time.

Many people have crossed our paths in the two decades (plus) that Joe and I have been together.  When all is said and done, I’ve learned that no one really knows and understands the heart and passions of this man quite like I do.

As we celebrated Easter together, and as I thanked God for the reason for our celebration, I also took time out to thank God for this man I love so much.

Happy Easter, sweetheart.  This year was one of my favorites so far!

I am blessed to be just a small part of this great work through LifeWay Women.

Thanks Rich Kalonick for capturing our weekend so well, as you always do.  Now, crank up your speakers and enjoy Travis Cottrell singing with photos from Living Proof Live New Orleans

And, just for fun, if you want to play along in a little photo captioning contest from our New Orleans weekend, go here to play.  Winner receives a copy of Kelly Minter’s No Other Gods Bible Study!

Blessed and Wiped Out

Just arrived back in Music City following a quick round trip to one of my fave cities in this USofA – New Orleans.  I’m just dropping by to say WOW, I’m blessed. What a weekend with the LifeWay Women events team.  Beth Moore shared awesome teaching. And God flowed freely through the music led by Travis Cottrell and the praise team. It was amazing to see lives change before my very eyes, mine included.

My buddy Rich will be sending me a link for the recap and I’ll share it here – so be on the lookout.

Meanwhile, I’m signing off for now to rest my aching bod. Love you with all my heart.
